The true origin of thesebaci di dama cookies is uncertain, someone argue that they were created near
Alessandria particularly in the small town of Tortona , while others make them go back to a happy invention of a confectioner of the House of Savoy in 1852.

The only certain thing is their exceptional flavor that marries hazelnuts and chocolate
cream in the best Piedmont culinary tradition.

The name of these little pastries seems to derive from their shape that recalls a pair of
lips intent to kiss someone.
